EXPERTISE

Lyle Shute is a Principal at MH&E. He is also the head of the Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) Engineering division.

His areas of responsibility include:

  • Overall client liaison and project management
  • Oversight of the MEP department
  • Expertise in commercial, industrial, governmental, educational and institutional projects
  • Manages in-house staff and outside consultants
  • Responsible for promoting sustainable design elements & energy efficiency measures on projects undertaken by the firm

  • Over 30 years of experience in the mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) consulting engineering industry. Responsible principal in charge of MEP department  and large multi discipline building projects within the firm
  • Oversees professional and career development of the firms MEP engineers and technicians, including specialized training and continuing education
  • Responsible for promoting sustainable design elements and energy efficiency measures on building design projects undertaken by the firm
  • Expertise in private building design projects, including higher education buildings, multi-family buildings, hospitality and catering facilities, commercial and retail facilities, laboratory and healthcare facilities, site utility and site lighting, back-up generator system design, commercial kitchen design, boiler and chiller plants, religious facilities, solar farm and photovoltaics, manufacturing and industrial buildings, agricultural buildings, automobile showrooms and service facilities
  • Expertise in governmental, educational and municipal projects including public school buildings, county and municipal buildings, water and wastewater facilities, correctional facilities, fire houses, ambulance buildings and animal shelters
  • Familiarity with grant administration, Wicks law requirements, prevailing wage projects and other State and Federal agency project requirements
