Matthew J. Sickler, P.E.

EXPERTISE

Matthew Sickler is an Associate at MHE Engineering. He is primarily involved in oversight and design of the firm’s wastewater treatment, collection and conveyance projects.

His areas of responsibility include:

  • Wastewater treatment process design
  • Regulatory agency approvals
  • Project design team management and coordination
  • Process optimization and asset management reports
  • Municipal water authority consultations
  • Municipal Planning Board representation

EXPERIENCE

  • Responsible for the design and project management of numerous municipal and commercial wastewater treatment projects starting from initial feasibility and concept stages through project closeout and operations
  • Has obtained project approvals from a variety of regulatory agencies including New York State Department of Environmental Conservation, Delaware River Basin Commission, Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection, New York City Department of Environmental Protection and local Health Departments
  • Responsible for the design and project management of numerous municipal wastewater collection and conveyance projects, including design, regulatory permitting, construction phase services and start-up. Projects have included inflow and infiltration studies and remediation, new and replacement pump stations, force mains and gravity collection systems. Designs have included solids handling and odor control
  • Responsible for Planning Board consultations with municipal clients including plan review for conformance with local ordinances, SEQRA reviews, SWPPP reviews, performance and maintenance bond reviews and general engineering standards
